How Can I Help?

Thank you for your interest in supporting our efforts. We need your help to make our goal a reality. Here are the different ways that you can help:

For starters, please sign up as a supporter. This will enable us to keep you informed of our efforts as they progress and ask for specific help on different aspects of our work.

Next, please contact your state senator and state representative and urge them to support three strikes legislation. During this election season, ask the candidates in your area what their stance is on this issue and let them know that this is something you care about. We have sent every state legislative candidate a letter requesting that they sign a pledge form in which they promise to vote for a three strikes law if they are elected. Please encourage the candidates in your area to sign this pledge form. The Coalition does not endorse candidates or support or oppose candidates for office.

Also, we are happy to come out and speak to groups about this issue. If you are a member of an organization that would welcome us as guest speakers, please contact us by mail or email so that we can arrange a time to speak to your group. This is critical to building public support for our cause.

Finally, if you are able, please consider making a donation to the Coalition to help fund our efforts. Checks can be made out to "Three Strikes Now Coalition" and mailed to us at P.O. Box 1044, Waterbury, Connecticut 06721. Although we are a not for profit organization, we are not tax exempt. Therefore, your contributions to the Coalition will not be tax deductible. Also, we will not accept donations from anyone who would not be able to contribute to legislative candidates under Connecticut's campaign finance laws.
